Our history

From a unique deposit to a modern industrial minerals company

The company’s history began in 1922, when a unique deposit of high-quality quartz sands suitable for glass production was discovered near Novoselivka. This discovery became the foundation for the development of an enterprise that is now one of Ukraine’s leading quartz-material producers.

Over the decades, the company expanded its production capacity, introduced modern extraction and beneficiation technologies, developed logistics infrastructure and strengthened its quality-control system. Important milestones included the commissioning of the beneficiation plant, construction of a dedicated railway branch and the launch of fine silica flour production.

Since 2008, Novoselivskyi GZK JSC has been part of the international Sibelco Group, providing access to global expertise, modern technologies and unified quality standards.

1922Discovery of the high-quality quartz sand deposit near Novoselivka.

1932Industrial development of the deposit begins.

1938The Novoselivka quarry administration is established.

1975Beneficiation plant and dedicated railway branch are commissioned.

2004Fine silica flour production is launched.

2008The company joins the international Sibelco Group.
